Coming soon… Pictures here. [...] Well what can I say? I suppose I can start off by saying that that’s not a typo in the title, that’s how they seem to spell African in Mexico. [...] As planned we slept in a bit. Can’t really remember exactly what time we got up, but I think we were on the road by around 10 am or so. May have been closer to 11… [...] Got to sleep in a little bit, well as much as is possible considering all the birds that seem to live just outside the balcony doors. Those birds have been a nice wake up call every day so far. No worries though, we got to bed relatively early the night before. [...] As planned, everyone was waiting in the lobby of the hotel at 8 am for Antonio (Luisa’s brother-in-law) who had kindly offered to drive us to Chignagvapan – the place where the hot springs were located. Around 9:30 or so Antonio showed up. This is not to say that he was late…he was just operating on “Mexican Time”. :) [...] A relatively early day…I think we got up around 7:30 or so. Down to the hotel restaurant to grab some breakfast (super cheap and very tasty) and then off to meet up with Mario, Luisa’s brother for a day of touring Puebla City. We actually started off the tour by searching through some sort of museum looking for Mario, Steve and Sean who decided that they couldn’t wait a couple of minutes for us to show up. :) After a good 20 minutes of searching, Luisa showed up and found them for us, I’m still not sure how she did that. [...] The day started quite early, around 3 am or so. We managed to drag ourselves out of bed and get showered before JK picked us up at around 4. John had kindly offered to drive us to the airport (actually so had Bonnie, but we didn’t feel right asking a new mother to get up so early :) ) so we took him up on it. I think we arrived at the airport at around 4:30 or so, perhaps a bit later. We dragged our bags inside and proceeded to look for the AeroMexico booth so we could check in. Well, that was the first problem of the day, there didn’t seem to be an AeroMexico booth… [...] |
