iPhone Facebook Privacy Fail?

The new Facebook iPhone app is a big improvement over the last version, that’s for sure, but I’ve noticed some strange behaviour with this new version that I didn’t see before.  I’m not sure if this is a new attempt at privacy or just a bug in the application.  See screenshot below:
