Flickr has finally implemented it’s version of sets of sets, or nested folders – something I have been waiting for for a long time. As you can see from the mosiac to the right, you have the ability to easily create a mosiac for each ‘collection’ (which is what they are calling them) you create. I’m not sure when they introduced these ‘collections’ but it must have been recently. Collections can contains other collections OR sets, but not both. I couldn’t think of a situation where this would be a problem off the top of my head, but natually Dave helped me out.
Lets say you have a collection called Travel which contains collections of your vacations. Each of the collections in the main Travel collection contains sets from each location. Well if you have some locations that only have one set – you’d need to create a collection which would only have one set it in, because you can’t have both collections and sets inside a collection. Not sure how much sense that made but you’ll figure it out as you start building collections.
Anyways, our collections can be found here. I’ve only got the one of Liam so far but I’m sure I’ll be making more as we go along…
