I was talking with Grant about running the other day, asking him if he had been doing any training and he asked me if I was going to do the Hypothermic Half in January. After that, I saw the race listed in Steve’s Upcoming Events sections of his site and figured he was already registered. So – after visiting the race website and finding out that there are only 300 spots available, I decided that I had better hurry up and register.
Turns out I’m the first of my friends to register. I’m now throwing out the challenge to Grant, Steve and Dave (as well as anyone else who is so inclined) to join me on January 28th. Don’t wait too long, those 300 spots are going to fill up quick. There were 121 people registered as of 1030 today!
Goals for the race? Nothing serious. I’ll just use this one as yet another training run I think. Unless of course someone pushes me…
Well, as a result of being told not to run for the next 6-8 weeks, I’m definitely going to have to be out on this one. I was hoping to run a snowshoe race the day before anyway, now I don’t even know if I can do that. Curse this getting older.
