Liam was only 4 days old and already competing in an international competition. Saturday, here in town, there was an international breastfeeding competition and Liam and Amy took part. It was an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of babies breastfeeding at the same time. The majority of the participants (205 mothers and babies) were at the Bayshore Shopping Centre, but in-patients at the QCH (and 3 other area hospitals) were able to participate as well. As long as baby was on the boob breastfeeding at 1100 on Saturday (and had signed up to take part) then they counted towards the total. In the end, Ottawa came in 4th in North America. Not bad for his first international event. :)
… leaves a lot of room for improvement going forward, and isn’t at the back of the pack. He’ll have podium finishes like Steve in no time!
