This past Thursday, Amy went in for her second ultrasound appointment. As you can see from the photo on the left, we got another picture. We also got a video! I’m working on getting it posted here for those who are interested in seeing it.
Anyways, the baby was far enough along in its development that the technician was able to tell us what the sex of the baby was. And the answer is…it’s a boy! Yep, you read it right, a boy! Whew! Not that I would have been upset if it was a girl, but I would have had to take a lot of teasing from a lot of people.
Baby Haggaret is developing fine and the ultrasound didn’t turn up any anomolies so that’s the main thing. As you can see from the photo though, he seems to like to suck his thumb. Like father like son I guess…I sucked my thumb for a long time.
An interesting little fact about the Haggerty boys. Mike was first to start having kids and it took him three tries before he managed a boy. Sean was the second to have kids and it took him two tries before getting a boy. As for me, I’m the third and I managed a boy on my first try! :)
For sure you would have taken a lot of teasing… especially since, at your wedding, you accused your father-in-law of producing “girlie sperm” since he only produced girls :)
