I decided to hit the road again today to see if I could get a decent shot of the HOLLYWOOD sign. I did a google search for ‘hollywood sign’ and found hollywoodsign.org. They had a few suggestions for where to go to get a good picture, but I decided on the Lake Hollywood one.

I had planned to go to the shopping centre at the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Highlands Blvd, but parking was an absolute nightmare and I didn’t need that stress so I opted to just keep driving and head back to the hotel. Lots of stuff to do before tomorrow morning anyways.
A couple of observations from my time so far in California. Motorcycles seems to have pretty much free reign of the roads. They make their way to the front of the line at red lights and they weave in and out of traffic on the highways, frequently riding the white lines in between lanes. You really have to be alert for them. It’s kind of crazy really. There are really nice cars pretty much everywhere here, convertibles are pretty popular, and I can definitely see why. I’ve really been enjoying the mustang convertible. (Now I know why Dana liked hers so much) Note to self though, next time I go to a sunny, warm climate, bring contact lenses and sunglasses with me!
Traffic on the 405 around the heart of LA is not good. And today was a Sunday!
