So earlier this week I got ‘hit’ by some script kiddie who, just for the hell of it I guess, decided to change all the index files on my server to say, “SPYKIDS OWNZ YOU”. Yeah…whatever. Nice work there loser.
Anyways, I’ve also just acquired a new rack (thanks Gregg T) which I’m going to put under my stairs, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to do a fresh install of e-smith onto a box that is rack mountable. That’s what this blog is running on now. I’ve only transferred my blog over for now, and not my old picture gallery. I’m planning to eventually move all those pictures over to Flickr anyways.
The new rack should make things a little neater under the stairs in the basement so I’m anxious to get it installed. I’m probably going to have to shorten it though, since it’s about 6 or 7 feet tall right now.
I was very happy with how quickly I managed to get the new server up and running and get my blog switched over. I guess I’m starting to catch on a bit. Thanks in huge part to Boris of course.
