Skipped another run

This is not good. As I said I would, I went for my run on Tuesday as planned. I also took the dog with me cause she needs to start getting in shape for the summer, even if she doesn’t agree with me. I ended up dragging her about half the way because she seemed to be tired. I’m sure it’ll get better for her as we go along.

Anyways, the run was tough, and it was only 3 miles. I assume this is because it had been so long since my previous run. That and the fact that I was dragging Ellie along with me. After the run, I felt like crap! I thought maybe starting to exercise again would help me get rid of this cold that is lingering, but boy was I wrong!

Yesterday I was supposed to run 7 miles. I opted to skip the run and get to bed early, hoping that the rest would do me some good. When I woke up this morning, not really any change in my health. Still got the crap in my throat and my head is still a bit stuffed up.

I plan to do my 4 mile run tonight (and I also plan to bring Ellie with me) and then see how I feel. I’ve got a course mapped out for the 14 mile run that is supposed to happen on Saturday so I’d really like to do that one.

The marathon is 8 or 9 weeks away and I’m starting to get worried.
