I’m a little disappointed after completing week 2. Here was the schedule:
Mon – rest, Tues – 3, Wed – 3, Thurs – 3, Fri – rest, Sat – 7, Sun – cross
I don’t know why – but this week seemed much more difficult than last week. It was the same distances as last week, except for Saturday, but I had a harder time with it.
The run on Saturday was particularily gruelling this week. Whereas last Saturday I didn’t have any trouble running the 6 miles (I did it in just under 58 mins), the 7 miles I did on Saturday of this week were absolutely brutal! I felt like I struggled to get to 5 miles and then REALLY struggled to finish up the 7 miles. I think it took me somewhere around 73 minutes. After the running was done, I kept walking to cool down and ended up doing around 8 and a half miles total.
Anyways, like I said, I was somewhat discouraged since I figured that things would be getting easier, not harder. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not going to stop me, I just hope that this week goes a little better. This is the first week that my Wednesday run distance gets bumped up a bit.
