Viva Las Vegas Baby! [...] There will be no long run for me this weekend. My friend (and best man) John has told me to make myself available to be picked up anytime this weekend. Not sure if this weekend will constitute my ‘bachelor party’ or not but regardless, I don’t think I will be getting any running in, definitely not 16 miles worth anyways. I’ll be picking up with the regular schedule (week 12 I believe) on Tuesday of next week. [...] So I went to the Running Room on the advice of my brother to get myself a new pair of running shoes. The ones I have been using up until now are about five years old and are in fact cross trainers and not running shoes. Anyways, Amy and I showed up there probably around 1900 or 1930 I guess. We were going to make our way to the back of the store where the running shoes were all on a wall but…there was some sort of class going on and we couldn’t get to the shoes. I found it bizarre that they were having a class in the middle of the store thereby preventing anyone else from even looking at the running shoes. [...] |
