Solo Practice Time Finished!

Yes I’ve been slacking off a bit, I really should have posted this on Wedneday night, after my last flight, but I was tired. Then I forgot about it on Thursday, and here we are on Friday already.

Anyways, went up for my last solo session on Wednesday before ground school. It was quite hazy but the visibility was good enough that I was still able to go, which was good.

Flew out to the practice area and practiced steep turns, side slips, power on stalls, and flying along at a certain altitude with 20 degrees of flaps at 70 kts. There was only one other person in the practice area and he was working the Ontario side so I went over to the Quebec side.

I only needed 0.5 hours to get my required 4 hours in, but I ended up putting in a full hour. The flight was pretty uneventful, but that’s ok. I certainly enjoyed my time, like I always do. Landing was pretty good.

Now I think it’s time to start doing some cross country flights. I think the first one is to Smith Falls.

Brad is off this weekend, poor guy…first weekend off in who knows how long, so no flying for me this weekend. That’s ok, I’ve got a bunch of stuff to get done before my trip to BC anyways. I’m hoping to get a lesson in on Wednesday though. Brad said something about practicing short / soft field takeoffs and landings. Should be fun.

Bring your logbook out to BC, find a flying club, and do some mountain flying! How awesome would that be?

As a student, can I do that?!

When you say logbook, are you talking about my PTR or my logbook?

Oh and are you going to BC?
