Went down to visit Trev and Julie this past weekend down at their place in Brockville. Actually they are technically not in Brockville, they are in Elizabethtown Kitley, but it’s close enough to Brockville to just say they are in Brockville. :)
They were kind enough to let me bring Ellie along, which was fantastic because they live on the river and she got to swim all weekend. Trev even took some pictures for me.
As always, Trev and Julie were wonderful hosts. Trev even gave me his old bike rack that he made for his old truck. That came in handy for the trip home since we had to take back my bike as well as Grant’s new bike. Without the rack, I wouldn’t have been able to guarantee that Grant’s shiny new bike wouldn’t have gotten all scratched up.
Speaking of bikes…I decided that I’d try a little road biking while I was down there. I borrowed Julie’s bike (which was a bit on the small side) and Trev and I headed out to meet up with Grant who was biking from Ottawa. We only made it about 6.5 to 7 kms before meeting up with him, but that was a good thing…I am really not in biking shape!
Anyways, great weekend but I was pretty exhausted by the time I got home. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to mowing the lawn or any other chores that really should have been done this weekend. Looks like it’s gonna be a hectic week this week.
