This is two days in a row now that I’ve had to power cycle my router in order to get it working again. Not sure what is going on with it. If this keeps up, the first thing I’ll do is upgrade the firmware and if that doesn’t do the trick…I’ll have to bite the bullet and buy a new one I guess. :(
It’s a Netgear RP614. The strange thing is that I haven’t had ANY problems with since I installed it back in October. Nothing has changed in my network recently so this is all rather bizarre.
Actually…I was just surfing through the Netgear Support page for my router and found new firmware that just may solve my problem. It lists one of the fixes as “Fixed Stress test lockup failure” which may be what’s happening to me. I think I’ll upgrade the firmware despite the fact that it’s only a release candidate build. :)
