New Content Management!

Well I thought I’d bite the bullet and try to get Drupal installed and start using it for my blogging.

It wasn’t as painful as I would have thought, but I still need to do a lot of work in customizing it. I’m sure I’ll be asking Boris for some help along the way. He’s pretty good that way, doesn’t mind helping you as long as you show that you’re at least trying. :)

Anyways, this is really just a test post to see if things are ok. If things are good to go then I think I’ll start cutting and pasting my old Wordpress posts into here.

  • Haggerty… why did you go to Drupal? What “added” functionality did you need? Dave

  • I didn’t have a real need to change, if that’s what you’re asking. However, if in the future I decided that I wanted to have some of the added functionality that Drupal offers over Worpress then it would have been a big pain in the ass to copy everything over at that point. It’s a bit of a pain right now to be honest, and I don’t have that much content to copy over.

What it comes down to is that I liked the ‘tracker’ that Drupal offers. :)

That and it seems there is better support for adding pictures to your posts…
